Raw Foods

Sun Garden Burgers Adapted From:

 

Ingredients:

  • 3 TBS flaxseeds, ground

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup carrot pulp
  • 1 cup sunflower seeds, ground
  • 1/2 cup finely minced celery
 
  • 1/2 cup finely minced onion (or) 1 tsp onion powder

  • 2 TBS finely minced parsley (or) 1 1/2 tsp dried parsley
  • 2 TBS finely minced red pepper
  • 2 TBS liquid aminos
Instructions: 

Place in dehydrator for 4-6 hours (or) warm oven for 10-15 minutes.   

Comments

  1. I don't dehydrate or warm it.

  2. The flavor of the nut will change the flavor of the loaf.

  3. Excellent with mixed raw nuts

       For example:  1/2 cup sunflower seeds plus 1/2 cup walnuts

  1. May grate carrots instead of juicing carrots.

  2. Carrot pulp makes texture more like tuna fish.

  3. Excellent as a spread when carrot pulp is used.

  4. When substituting herbs in recipes: 

Measurement Equivalents

1/4 tsp dried powdered herb = 3/4 to 1 tsp dried crumbled herbs 

= 1 1/2 to 2 TBS fresh chopped herbs.
