Jesus and Witnessing
And this gospel of the kingdom
shall be preached in all
the world for a
witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
Matthew 24:14
Example
in John the Baptist - John 1:6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
7 The same came for a
witness, to bear witness of the
Light, that all men through him might believe.
8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of
that Light.
9 That was the true
Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

Ye are my
witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom
I have chosen:
that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he:
before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.
11 I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.
12 I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you:
therefore
ye are my
witnesses, saith the LORD, that I am God.
